SANAA, Oct. 13 (YPA) – The Iranian military official affirmed on Wednesday its air defense systems are prepared to protect sensitive facilities.
Commander of the Iranian Air Defense Joint Headquarters, Brig. Gen. Qader Rahimzadeh, said the strong and multi-layered defense against cruise missile attacks is one of the goals of the joint specialized maneuvers of the air defense, which has now been successfully implemented by the various air defense systems of the army and the Revolutionary Guards.
Local media indicated that the maneuvers witnessed the use of the army’s “Majid” and “Dezful” air defense systems of the Revolutionary Guards, which “successfully” destroyed cruise missiles directed at the maneuvers area.
The maneuvers also include the deployment of local missile systems, radar, reconnaissance information, electronic warfare, communication systems, and the visual surveillance network of the army.
