Sultanate of Oman criticizes Israeli entity at UN over occupied Palestine
MUSCAT, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its concern over the Israeli occupation’s exploitation of natural resources in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Quds and the occupied Syrian Golan.
This came in a speech on Monday by the Sultanate before the Economic and Financial Committee of the United Nations, delivered by its permanent member of the organization, First Secretary Ahmed Al-Busaidi.
In another context, Al-Busaidi explained that the “Covid-19” pandemic has imposed wide pressures at the global level, as the repercussions associated with the pandemic have reduced the chances of achieving the goals of the global sustainable development plan by 2030.
The Omani official called on the international community to unanimously agree on a plan and strategy that contributes to achieving a more inclusive and sustainable future, according to the Omani newspaper “Al Shabiba.”
In last July, the Omani Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, confirmed that his country would not be the third Gulf country, after the UAE and Bahrain, which normalizes its relations with the Israeli occupation authorities.
