HADHRAMAUT, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen on Tuesday kidnapped a Yemeni religious man early Tuesday in Hadhramaut province.
This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimony of local sources
According to the local sources in the city of Tarim, the unidentified elements kidnapped preacher Taher bin Hussein al-Attas in front of his home as he was returning from dawn prayers in the city of Tarim.

The abduction of al-Attas provoked indignation in the Hadhrami community.
“Habib Ali al-Jafri tweeted: “A little while ago, the scholar Taher bin Hussein al-Attas was kidnapped in front of his house when he was he returning from dawn prayers in Tarim,” Islamic preacher Habib Ali al-Jafri tweeted.
He held top officials in Hadi government (the head of state, his deputy and the governor, and the leadership of the first military region) in particular because the kidnappers went to an area under their influence, responsible for the safety of Al-Attas.
