Putin: Russia maintains prestigious position in grain production

MOSCOW, Oct. 10 (YPA) – President Vladimir Putin said Russia retains a prominent position in the production of grain and other crops despite the COVID-19 epidemic.

Congratulating agriculture and manufacturing workers on their careers, Putin noted that this has been achieved thanks to the efforts and hard work of Russian farmers in recent years.

He noted the positive trend in animal husbandry, vineyards and vegetable production.

Putin stressed that the agricultural sector, one of the leading pillars of the Russian economy, is developing dynamically using advanced modern technologies, and its products can compete in domestic and foreign markets.

He further  stressed that the Russian authorities would continue to support the agricultural sector.
