Army steps up attack against coalition in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces stepped up attacks on strategic areas against the Saudi-led coalition forces in MArib province, local sources said.

The sources affirmed that the coalition forces took civilians as human shields in the battles against the army forces in the areas of “Wasit” and “Al-Jadida”, the center of the Jouba district of Marib, which the army penetrated into.

Earlier in the day, the forces of army launched a large-scale military attack towards the positions of the coalition, penetrating towards the village of “Wasit”, the stronghold the the brigadier general “Mufreh Buhaibah”, the commander of the Bayhan axis of the coalition forces, amidst major collapses in the ranks of the coalition.
