Amirabdollahian: Iran is ready to build 2 power plants in Lebanon within 18 months
TEHRAN, Oct. 07 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Thursday said that the Iranian companies are ready to build power plants in Lebanon within 18 months and to restore the port of Beirut if requested.”
In a press conference with his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bou Habib, Amirabdollahian said: “Iran is ready to provide all aspects of support to Lebanon to help it overcome the difficult stage it is currently experiencing, and Iranian companies are ready within 18 months to build two plants to produce electric power with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts in Beirut and the south.”
He noted that the two sides agreed on the convening of the joint economic committee between the two countries, and the file of tourism and economic relations is still open to both sides, appreciating the great role that Lebanon plays in confronting the Zionist enemy.
On the other hand, Amirabdollahia said that his country considers that constructive dialogue and negotiations are the best way for strangers to leave the region and solve regional problems,” referring that major strides have been made in negotiations with Saudi Arabia.
On the Iranian nuclear file, Amirabdollahia affirmed that the Iranian government aspires to Negotiations that preserve the legitimate rights of the Iranian people.
