Armed clashes leave several wounded in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Several militants affiliated with Islah Party were wounded in armed clashes in Laudar district of Abyan province, southern Yemen, local sources reported on Wednesday.

The sources said that the clashes erupted between Islah militants, Tuesday due to a dispute on the collections on the Laudar-Alhalhal road, leaving two Islah militants injured.

According to the sources, local gunmen tried to extract the tax collection from the Islah gunmen in the district, which prompted the latter to launch a military campaign to keep the tax collection under their control.
