DAMASCUS, Sept. 27 (YPA) – At least one person died and 13 others were injured Sunday when a fire broke out at a hotel in Sayeda Zeinab city in Damascus countryside.
According to SANA, A source in the Damascus Countryside Police Command announced on Sunday evening that a person was killed and 13 others were injured in a fire in the Pearl of the Orient Hotel in the city of Sayeda Zeinab in the Damascus countryside governorate.
He pointed out that the fire broke out as a result of welding and maintenance of the gasoline tank located above the roof of the hotel, which led to the explosion and fire broke out.
The director of Damascus rural health, Dr. Yassin Na’anous, said he had transferred 14 cases to the “Imam Sadr Hospital, one of whom died of “maintenance worker”, including severe burns.
