Iraqi Popular Mobilization launches large-scale security operation in Jurf Al-Nasr

SANAA, Sept. 12 (YPA) –  Al-Jazeera Operations Command in the Iraqi Popular Mobilization launched a large-scale security operation from three axes to secure the Arbaeen visit in Jurf Al-Nasr district, north of Babil Governorate.

The Popular Mobilization Information Directorate said in a statement, “The operation comes within the security plans to secure the roads of pilgrims arriving in the forty days towards the dome of Abi Al-Ahrar Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) in the holy Karbala.”

The operation, according to the statement, includes “a survey and inspection of the densely-grown areas and orchards in Jurf Al-Nasr, to secure the targets set north of Babylon from any infiltration by ISIS terrorist elements to target the visitors.”
