Difficult economic situation sparks mass protests in Mukalla

HADRAMOUT, Sept. 12 (YAP) – Dozens of citizens in Mukalla city of Hadramout province staged a massive protests to reject the difficult economic situation in the occupied governorates, south of Yemen.

According to sources, the protests came in rejection of the rise in exchange rates, which resulted in a significant deterioration of living.

Following these protests, the city witnessed unprecedented riots, as a number of protesters set fire to car tires in front of the gates of a school in the city.

The another group of protesters cut off the main streets, disrupting traffic.
