Marib tribes launch attack against coalition camps

MARIB, Sept. 09 (YPA) – Armed tribesmen on Thursday launched an armed attack targeting a military site belonging to the Saudi-led coalition forces north of Marib city.

The violent clashes, which come in the first move against the coalition forces, erupted between tribal gunmen and the coalition forces in east of Al-Rweik area and last for more than four hours, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources confirmed that the clashes left several of dead and wounded on both sides.

This comes after the great progress made by Sanaa forces in the north of Marib city towards the east, approaching the eastern entrance to the city.
