President Al-Mashat directs to form committee to follow price controls

SANAA, Sept. 06 (YPA) – President the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, directed on Monday the formation of a committee to determine the costs of goods and services, and to follow price control.

This came during an extended meeting held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the presence of the acting chairman of the supreme economic committee and the governor of the central bank, Hashem Ismail, the minister of industry Abdul Wahab Al-Durra.

In the meeting, Al-Mashat also directed the provinces’ governors to cooperate with the offices of the ministry in controlling prices, stressing the importance of concerted efforts on the economic front contributing to alleviation of the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Mr. President called on everyone to support the efforts made by the ministry in implementing its various plans and programmes.

During the meeting, Al-Mashat stressed the importance of strengthening the supervisory role for consumer protection, specifications and standards in order to protecting and enhancing national production.
