Two citizens killed in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, June 9 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen killed on Friday two citizens of Batis tribe in Hadramout province, south-east Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

Unknown gunmen believed to belong to al-Qaeda organization shot at Khamis bin Omar Bazir Batis and Faris Mubarak Bazir Batis in Aqabat Haroba area of Hadramout Valley and then fled, the sources said.

This comes amid the spread of al-Qaeda elements in the districts of Hadramout valley, which witnessed many assassinations before the holy month of Ramadan.
