1st Bahraini ambassador to Zionist entity arrives in Tel Aviv

SANAA, Aug. 31 (YPA) – The new Bahraini ambassador to the Zionist entity, Khaled Yousef Al-Jalahmah, is scheduled to arrive in Tel Aviv, on Tuesday, to officially assume his duties, according to the website of the Hebrew Channel Seven.

Al-Jalahmah wrote in a Twitter in Arabic, Hebrew and English: “I am honored to announce that I will arrive in Tel Aviv today to begin my term as Bahrain’s first ambassador to Israel.”

Bahrain had announced at the end of last March, the appointment of Al-Jalahmah as ambassador to Tel Aviv.

On May 29, Al Jalahmah took the legal oath before Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

On March 30, the King of Bahrain issued a decree establishing a diplomatic mission for his country in Tel Aviv.

Al-Jalahmah has been the Director of Operations at the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2017, and served as the Kingdom’s deputy ambassador to the United States (2009-2013).

With his arrival, Al-Jalahmah will become the fourth Arab ambassador in Tel Aviv, after the ambassadors of Egypt, Jordan and the UAE.

In mid-January, the Zionist enemy entity appointed Itay Tagner as charge d’affaires of the Zionist embassy in Manama.

In September 2020, Israel and Bahrain signed an agreement to normalize relations between the two countries.
