BAGHDAD, Aug. 30 (YPA) – Two leaders of the terrorist group ISIS were killed and another arrested, the Iraqi security media cell announced Sunday.
According to the Baghdad News Agency today, the security media cell confirmed that the intelligence agency was able to clear the dens of the terrorist organization northeast of Diyala province.
The operation was under supervision of Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agent and the Deputy Joint Operations in Iraq.
On August 25, Iraqi intelligence services killed two leaders and arrested 14 members of the terrorist group ISIS in the capital’s belt and several provinces in the country.
In December 2017, Iraq announced the liberation of its entire territory from ISIS, after nearly three and a half years of confrontations with the terrorist organization, which occupied about a third of the country, declaring the establishment of what it called an “Islamic caliphate.”
