Shoigu: US left behind many precision weapons in Afghanistan

MOSCOW, Aug. 29 (YPA) -Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said the US military had left behind many precision weapons in Afghanistan.

“These weapons, including man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems and anti-tank guided missiles, as well as the Javelin portable anti-tank missile system,”  he told “Soloviev Live”.

Shoigu noted that Moscow is currently analyzing the risks and threats in the country, as a large number of these weapons fell into the hands of Taliban militants (terrorist movement, prohibited in Russia).

He added that the United States has supplied the same weapons to Ukraine, but this number is not comparable to the number of weapons the Americans threw in Afghanistan.

On August 15, Taliban militants announced the establishment of control over the entire territory of Afghanistan.
