Israeli occupation army reinforces troops on Gaza border

GAZA, Aug. 24 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army said on Tuesday that military reinforcements have been sent to the northern region on the border with the Gaza Strip in anticipation of “violent riots”, referring to popular demonstrations against the blockade.

“In light of the assessment of the security situation and IDF’s preparations for other violent riots on the security fence with Gaza, it was decided to reinforce the Gaza division with additional troops,” The Israeli occupation Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Avichay Adraee said.

“In recent days, IDF occupation forces have stepped up their preparations, with the plans in question being approved and training conducted in different areas.”

He concluded by Saying, “The IDF will work hard to counter terrorist acts on the security fence.”
