SANAA, Aug. 24 (YPA) – A spokesman for the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization denied the authenticity of the reports that a Ukrainian plane was hijacked by unknown assailants at Kabul Airport in Afghanistan and headed to Iran.
Muhammad Hassan Deebkhsh said in a statement, on Tuesday, that the Ukrainian plane was refueled at Mashhad Airport and continued on its way to Kiev, explaining that the plane took off from Mashhad Airport on Monday evening after it was refueled and arrived in Ukraine.
The spokesman for the Civil Aviation Organization added: This plane landed at Kiev airport on Monday night at 21:50 Tehran time (+4.5 GMT).
Deebkhsh confirmed that the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization denies the issue of the hijacking of the plane.
He pointed out that the landing documents for this plane are available at Kiev airport and will be published by the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization later.
