Pro-coalition security commander injured in Hodeida

HODEIDA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – A security commander loyal to Saudi-led coalition was subjected to an assassination attempt on Thursday in Al-Khokha city, south of Hodeida province.

According to informed sources, Sadiq Attiya, commander of the so-called “special forces” funded by the UAE in Al-Khoukha, was subjected to an assassination attempt while he was in the areas east of Al-Khokha.

The sources explained that unidentified gunmen believed to belong to the so-called “Tuhami resistance” riding three motorcycles, shot at Attiya, wounding him, while one of the attacking gunmen was injured during the attack.

In February 2019, Attiya was kidnapped after the “Tuhami Elite” forces stormed the Central Security camp in Al-Khokha.
