Senior leader resigns from STC in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 08 (YPA) – A senior leader resigned on Sunday from the memberships of UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Aden city, south of Yemen, in protest against the council’s regionalism.

Haidara al-Jahma, the member of the STC’s National Assembly, who belongs to Abyan province, attributed the reasons for his resignation to the council’s marginalization of the governorate’s role in its various policies.

Al-Jahma considered that Abyan is a difficult number in making any political equation in the southern provinces.
