Palestinian youth wounded by Zionist enemy’s bullets in Beita

SANAA, Aug. 8 (YPA) –  A young man was wounded by the Zionist enemy bullets during clashes that erupted with the Zionist army in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, on Saturday evening.

The Red Crescent stated that “the ambulance crews transported a citizen who was wounded by live enemy bullets in the Al-Yad area to Rafidia Governmental Hospital during the ongoing confrontations in the town of Beta.”

The young man’s injury was described as moderate and stable.

Since the start of the confrontations on “Jabal Sabih” last May, 7 Palestinians have been killed, including 6 martyrs from the town of Beita and a seventh from the nearby village of Yatma, and more than 3000 injuries, some of them from live and rubber bullets, and suffocation due to tear gas inhalation.

The town of Beita witnesses almost daily protests against the establishment of a settlement outpost on private Palestinian lands located on the “Sabih Mountain.”

Although the enemy army evacuated the settlers from the outpost on July 2, the Palestinians continued their protests, refusing to keep it under Israeli military control, and demanding the return of the lands to their owners.

Every on Friday, the Palestinians organize marches against settlements and the separation wall in a number of villages and towns in the West Bank.

Zionist and Palestinian estimates indicated that there are about 650,000 Zionist settlements in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, in 164 settlements and 124 outposts.
