Young man died after being tortured in Taiz prisons

TAIZ, Aug. 07 (YPA) – A young man died on Saturday after being tutored into one of prisons run by the Saudi-backed Islah militants in the city of Taiz.

According to human rights sources in the city, Ahmed Yasser Abdullah Al-Shamiri, 20, was kidnapped and tortured inside a solitary cell in one of the Islah camps.

The sources explained Islah gunmen told Al-Shamiri’s family that the body of the kidnapped son was in the military hospital refrigerator.

This came after pro-Islah gunmen of the “Military Police” and Brigade 180, led by Omar al-Sururi, kidnapped al-Shamiri, at the end of July.
