Biden: New Corona wave is tragedy could have been prevented

SANAA, Aug. 4 (YPA) – US President Joe Biden described the new wave of the Corona pandemic in his country as a “tragedy that could have been prevented,” noting that “experts told him that the situation would get worse before it got better.”

Speaking at the White House, Biden said, “We have a pandemic because of the unvaccinated,” noting that “those who have been vaccinated against the Corona virus rarely get it, and never reach hospitals.”

He added, “Countries with low vaccination rates have ten to twenty times more cases of coronavirus,” noting that “the virus is spreading like fire among those who have not been vaccinated.”

He revealed that “the level of vaccination increased during the past week by 55 percent, and the average daily vaccination rate is the highest in a month… This is an encouraging sign.”

The number of virus cases in the United States has been rising for about a month, with an average of seven days exceeding 85,000 cases per day.
