SANAA, Aug. 3 (YPA) – The leadership of Al-Thawra Model Hospital Authority in the Capital Secretariat has issued an urgent appeal to the concerned authorities to intervene to prevent the flow of rain torrents into the hospital, in light of the continuing heavy rains in our country.
The head of the authority, Dr. Abdul-Malik Jahaf, said in a statement that the intensity of the torrents flowing into the hospital poses a great danger to the old buildings that have not been maintained and restored for a long time due to the repercussions of the aggression and the siege.
Dr. Jahaf called on the Ministry of Works and the Capital Municipality, to quickly implement the necessary and sustainable treatments to drain the flood waters in the hospital’s courtyard and coming from the alleys, and to avoid its damage to the hospital buildings and to the safety of patients.
The head of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority stressed the speed of the emergency response to this call in protecting this giant medical edifice, addressing the problem of torrential flow into it and existing from previous years, remedying its damage and preventing its repercussions on the level of services provided to patients.
