Heavy rain with thunderstorms expected with coming hours: NCM

SANAA, Jul. 24 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, over most areas of Yemen within the coming 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin on Saturday, the center stated that rain would prevail over the mountainous heights of Taiz and Lahj, Saada, Dhalea, Bayda, Shabwa and Hadramout.

It pointed to a probability of precipitation in the desert areas of Jawf and Marib to the Hadramout and Mahra provinces, the southern coasts from Lahj and Aden, as well as the western coasts from Taiz and Hajjah.

The center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to avoid being in torrents and valleys that they used to cross by means of transportation, in addition to a decrease in the horizontal visibility due to heavy fog.
