4 shot outside Washington baseball stadium

SANAA, Jul. 18 (YPA) – Four persons were shot outside a baseball stadium packed with thousands of spectators in the U.S. capital, Washington.

According to police on Twitter, the accident caused the game to be abruptly halted as spectators were ushered out.

The targeted people had been shot but there was “no ongoing threat,” without clarifying the condition of the gunshot victims, the police added.

Police affirmed that its officers were “responding to a shooting, in which two people were shot outside of Nationals Park,” in the Navy Yard neighborhood of southern Washington, DC.
