KABUL, Jul. 18 (YPA) – At least five civilians were killed when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in Afghanistan’s southern province of Kandahar on Sunday.
The province’s police spokesman, Jamal Barikzi, said in a press statement that a bomb planted on a road in “Argistan” area exploded while a vehicle carrying a number of civilians was passing.
He added that the explosion killed five civilians, blaming “Taliban” movement for the attack.
No party claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
