Smuggling 2 million barrels of Shabwa oil

SHABWAH, Jul. 17 (YPA) -The Saudi-led coalition-backed government on Saturday sold a new fuel shipment of Shabwah oil worth 72 million dollars, Yemen News Portal reported, citing shiping sources.

According to shipping sources, a giant oil tanker known as ” CALIDA”  left the port of Al-Nashema in Shabwah after shipping nearly two million barrels of oil sold to the Chinese market.

The export of the new shipment comes on the reality of conflicts in the oil province.

It is not yet known whether Hadi sold the shipment suddenly for fear of falling to the province by his allies in “Islah militants ” after their factions stormed the government compound or Ali Mohsen. However, its timing indicates that parties are trying to exploit the fighting in Ataq to camouflage an “illegal” operation in the sale of oil.
