Abu Dhabi sends military forces to open new fronts in Yemen’s Bayda

BAYDA, Jul. 11 (YPA) – The armed groups funded by the UAE on Saturday night sent huge military forces from Marib and Shabwa provinces with the aim of opening a new front in Bayda province in central Yemen.

This comes days after the defeat of Al-Qaeda elements backed by Saudi-led coalition in Al-Souma’a and Al-Zahir fronts, in an open challenge from Abu Dhabi to Saudi Arabia.

Well-informed sources in Bayda told “Yemen Press Agency”, that the UAE military man in the “Hadi government”, Major General Saghir bin Aziz, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, ordered the transfer of military brigades affiliated with the militias loyal to the UAE from Marib and Shabwa to Bayda to participate in the opening of a new front in the districts of Nata’ and Thi Naem areas.

Bin Aziz’s directives come one day after “Jihad Movement” affiliated with Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula released a statement, in which accused Abu Dhabi and its tools of betraying the elements of the terrorist organization and causing the defeat of Al-Qaeda and the coalition forces on Al-Souma’a and Al-Zaher fronts in Bayda, a thing that observers of the Yemeni affairs considered a challenge to Saudi Arabia.
