SANAA, Jul. 11 (YPA) – The Palestine Scholars Association warned of Zionist settlers’ intention to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of al-Quds (Jerusalem) on July 18th.
“Extremist settlement groups are preparing to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque in large numbers and raise the flag of occupation in its courtyards on July 18th, on the occasion of what Israel calls the anniversary of the destruction of the Temple,” The Palestine Today news agency reported, citing the association’s president, Naseem Yassin.
Yassin stressed the need to confront this incursion and work to thwart it by retreating at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and “preparing all deterrence factors in defence of the mosque.”
He called on the Palestinians to travel to the al-Aqsa mosque and be present in large numbers.
Yassin also called on the nation’s scholars to mobilize solidarity with the Palestinian people and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and “expose the conspiracies of occupation.”
He further called on the Arab and Muslim peoples to show solidarity with al-Quds and al-Aqsa in the face of continued Israeli violations.
On July 18th, extremist “Israeli” groups called for an intensification of incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque on July 18th, marking the anniversary of what the Zionist entity calls the “destruction of the temple.”
The so-called “Sovereignty Movement in Israel” is also preparing to hold a settler march around the walls of Jerusalem’s Old City on the same day.
It is worth mentioning that dozens of Zionist settlers storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque almost daily through the Bab al-Maghariba in the western wall of the mosque with the facilities and protection of the occupying forces.
