SANAA, Jul. 07 (YPA) – Search and rescue teams on Tuesday found eight more bodies in the rubble of a collapsed building in the US state of Florida, bringing the confirmed death toll to 36, while 109 are still missing.
This came after rescuers were able to penetrate further into the site, after the Deer Sector was demolished to fall from the building, which partially collapsed about 13 days ago.
The disaster occurred in the oceanfront town of Surfside, Florida, near Miami Beach, Reuters reported.
Searches for victims continue as Storm Elsa approaches, which is expected to reach land on Florida’s Gulf Coast on Wednesday.
