Fire devours four shops in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jul. 05 (YPA) – A major fire broke out Monday in a number of shops in Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire broke out in one of the shops and spread to three nearby shops in Dirham Street in downtown Ataq.

The fire spread near Al-Yarmouk station for oil derivatives, amid the absence of firefighting vehicles belonging to the Civil Defense, the eyewitnesses added.

It is not yet known what caused the fire.
