ADEN, Jun. 18 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck the Gulf of Aden, this Friday afternoon, around 2:29 pm Sana’a time (UTC +3), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The US agency indicated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers below the surface of the earth, explaining that the earthquake occurred at a latitude of 12,835 north and a longitude of 48,574 east.
The earthquake is the fifth of its kind in the Gulf of Aden within three weeks, and its magnitude ranged between 4.2 and 5.5 degrees on the Richter scale.
