GAZA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The World Food Programme (WFP) confirmed on Thursday that over half a million people in the Gaza Strip are on the brink of famine.
The program explained that more than 320,000 children in Gaza are at risk of acute malnutrition.
It pointed out that at least one-third of Gaza’s population goes days without access to food.
The Gaza Strip is currently experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises in its history, as severe famine overlaps with a campaign of genocide waged by Israel since October 7, 2023.
Repeatedly, Palestinian and international human rights organizations have warned of rising cases of malnutrition in the Strip, as “Israel” continues to tighten its closure of border crossings since March, leading to the spread of famine and its indicators reaching “catastrophic” levels.
