Hadi forces send more military reinforcements to Abyan

ABYAN, Jun.  17 (YPA) – Hadi’s forces on Wednesday sent more military reinforcements into the city of Shuqrah in the southern Yemeni province of Abyan.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on local sources.

According to local sources, Hadi’s forces have begun to develop new trenches and fortifications in the Qarn al-Kalasi area, in conjunction with the continued flow of military reinforcements, as well as repositioning in areas from which they had previously withdrawn.

Hadi’s military moves came at a time when Riyadh negotiations are in place, as the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) continues to acquire media institutions in Aden.

On Wednesday, the STC held a general assembly meeting to discuss what he called the draft constitution of the southern state, in unilateral steps that negate Saudi Arabia’s announcement of a de-escalation agreement between the two sides of the Riyadh agreement.

The STC militias have recently pushed military reinforcements near the lines of confrontations  east of Zinjibar city.
