Military commander in Hadi forces abducted in Jawf

JAWF, Jun. 14 (YPA) – A senior military commander in Hadi’s forces was kidnapped on Monday in an area, which is under Islah militants control in Jawf province, local sources.

According to  the sources, the gunmen ambushed the so-called commander of the Falcon Brigade, Brigadier General Ahmed Al Ghatrifi’s in the Desert of Al-Yatamah bordering Saudi Arabia.

They took him to an unknown destination.

The differences between the two poles of “legitimacy” Islah and GPC have escalated in neighbouring Marib province.

Al Ghatrifi is very well known for his loyalty to the GPC, the UAE-backed wing  led by Saghir bin Aziz in the Desert of Al-Yatamah.

Al-Qalfi’s abduction came days after he met with Hadi’s commander on the border, which was held on the UAE wing of the GPC led by Yasser Majali, amid accusations of “Islah” and its factions, who were successfully removed from the battle of Jawf and the border by the UAE movement.

For his part, the commander of the so-called First Brigade Duty Hammoud al-Kharam demanded Hadi’s defense minister to release Al Ghatrifi and prosecute those involved in his abduction, referring to Islah factions led by Al-Maqdashi.
