STC sends military reinforcements to confront Islah militants in Abyan

ABYAN, Jun. 14 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias on Sunday evening sent massive military reinforcements to Abyan province, southern Yemen, local sources said

According to the sources in Abyan, Shalal Shayea, a commander of the “STC” militia pushed more reinforcements to strengthen his militias in the areas of Shuqra, Qarn al-Kalasi and Sheikh Salem.

The “STC” reinforcements are part of military preparations to confront Islah militants in the coastal city of Shuqra, which is the starting point for Islah towards Aden, the sources explained.

This came two days after a suicide bombing targeted a truck carrying soldiers from the security belt militia in Zinzibar, the capital of Abyan province.
