LAHJ, Jun.04 (YPA) – Armed elements kidnapped a son of a tribal sheikh in Lahj province, southern Yemen, local sources said on Friday.
According to local sources in the province, elements of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias kidnapped on Thursday the son of the tribal sheikh in the Tuban district,
Abdul Hakim Abdullah Fadl al-Auzibi, called “Azab” after chasing and intercepting his car in the public street in the city of Al-Huta, the capital of Lahj.
They took him to one of its prisons, indicating that he was released after the intervention of leaders in the security of the province.
The sources pointed out that the STC’s militias carried out another attack on the property and land of Sheikh Al-Auzibi, and state property in the Rabat area of the directorate of Tuban.
The “transitional” militia had already assaulted Sheikh Al-Auzibi and kidnapped his children to pressure him to give up his land.
