Video: Yemeni forces launch major offensive in Jizan, liberating 150 square km

JIZAN, May 29 (YPA) –  The Yemeni army, backed by popular committees launched a major military operation against Saudi army troops and their mercenaries in Jizan region, which lies in the southwest corner of Saudi Arabia.

During the operation, the Yemeni forces were able to liberate more than 150 square kilometers in the Jizan axis, deep inside the Saudi territories, a military official said on Saturday.

According to the official, more than 40 positions at the Jizan axis were liberated in the operation in which various combat units participated in it.

The operation resulted in the death, injury and capture of more than 200 Saudi army forces, Sudanese army mercenaries and hypocrites, and  more than 60 military and armored vehicles were destroyed and burned.

The military media of the Yemeni army documented the operation and released video footage shows the army forces storming the Saudi military potions and clash with the mercenaries.

The operation began by attacking the fortifications of the mercenaries and their positions, which led to their massive escape in their ranks. Yemeni army gained weapons ammunition and military vehicles during the attack.
