STC deploy military vehicles in vicinity of coalition camp in Aden

ADEN, May 28 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Friday deployed dozens of its gunmen on board military vehicles in the vicinity of the Saudi-led coalition camp in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Eyewitnesses reported that the military vehicles were deployed along the road leading to the headquarters of the coalition in Al-Buraiqa area to prevent an angry demonstration in front of the coalition headquarters.

This came following calls by activists from Aden to demonstrate in front of the coalition headquarters to denounce the collapse of electricity, health, water and sanitation services, in addition to the security chaos.

The city of Aden has witnessed a complete collapse of various basic services since the coalition took control of the city in August 2015, and the establishment of armed militias that tampered with the security and stability of Aden.
