Peaceful sit-in committee in Mahra elects Al-Huraizi as its chairman

MAHRA, May 24 (YPA) – The peaceful sit-in committee in Mahra governorate, east of Yemen, elected on Monday Sheikh Ali Salem Al-Huraizi as the committee’s chairman to succeed the late Amer Saad Kalashat.

Kalshat died last April in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, due to an incurable illness.

Ahmed Abdullah Belhaf, external communication officer at the committee, welcomed, on his Twitter account, the selection of Al-Huraizi as head of the sit-in committee in Mahra, praising the sheikh’s stances towards the people of Mahra.
