TEHRAN, May 17 (YPA) – A strong earthquake struck the northeastern region of the Republic of Iran on Monday.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 5.5 on the Richter scale.
The quake, which struck at a depth of 10 kilometres, occurred at a latitude (37.37 north) and a longitude (56.82 east), the center said.
The quake occurred 46 km west of the city Khorasan Province and 150 km from the City of Sabzevar.
No injuries or material damage have been reported so far.
