Civilian killed, number wounded in Israeli missile attack on Lattakia, Hama

SANAA, May 5 (YPA) –  Syrian air defenses confronted an Israeli missile attack that targeted the provinces of Latakia and Hama In the early hours of Wednesday.

A Syrian military source stated that the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of southwestern Latakia targeting some points in the coastal area, and our air defense media intercepted the aggression’s missiles and dropped some of them.

The source pointed out that “the Israeli aggression led to the death of a civilian and wounding six others, including a child and his mother, in an initial outcome, in addition to some material losses, including a civilian facility for the manufacture of plastic materials.

The Latakia Fire Brigade confirmed that the fire caused by the missiles of the Israeli aggression that targeted a civilian warehouse of plastic materials in the governorate countryside has been extinguished.

 

Earlier, the Syrian media reported that explosions were heard on the coast of the cities of Lattakia and Tartous, and it turned out later that they were caused by the Syrian forces’ confrontation of enemy targets.

Some media outlets published photos and a video that they said documented the sites of explosions resulting from the aggression in Tartous and Latakia.
