STC military force kidnaps political activist in Aden

ADEN, April 25 (YPA) – A military force has kidnapped a political activist loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen.

The southern political activist, Abd Rabbo Salem Muharraq, said on Saturday in a post on his Facebook page that a military force raided his house after ‘Suhoor’ meal, broke the door, and kidnapped him with his son and a guest who was in his house.

Muharraq explained that the kidnappers covered his eyes and treated him badly, and during their conversation with him he refused to talk to let him know to which side that force belonged.

He said that after removing the cover from his eyes, he found himself in the headquarters of the so-called “Al-Asifah forces” in Al-Tawahi district.

Muharraq added out that there was no charge and that what happened was a mistake, and he was returned after four hours to his home.

The military forces affiliated with the STC always practice such kidnappings and violations even against their loyalists.
