SANAA, April 21 (YPA) – The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced the continuation of the normalization process with Egypt, revealing the next steps.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşolu said during a television interview on the Turkish channel “Khabar Türk” that it had been decided to continue relations between the two countries at the level of the foreign ministries, announcing a meeting that would be held at the level of the foreign ministers of the two countries in early May.
Çavuşolu pointed out that “a meeting will be held at the level of Turkish and Egyptian deputy foreign ministers in the first week of next May,” explaining that “he will meet later with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, to discuss with him the appointment of ambassadors and ways to upgrade relations to a better point in the future.”
The Turkish “Anadolu Agency” reported, on Tuesday, that “the Turkish Justice and Development Party, headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, submitted a proposal to Parliament to form a friendship group between Turkey and Egypt.”
