AABYAN, April 12 (YPA) – The Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition opened on Monday one of the main roads for supplying its militants in Abyan province, southern Yemen, local sources reported.
According to the sources, the road is linking between Abyan and Shabwa provinces through Al-Hatab and Khanfar areas. It was used by the Islah military leaders for transferring supplies and military reinforcements to the coastal Shoqra front in Abyan.
The Islah militants resorted to this new road to avoid the ambushes of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militias in Al-Mahfad area, which caused them heavy losses during the past periods, the sources explained.
