ADEN, April 04 (YPA) – Hours of repeated power outage in boiling summer on Sunday fuelled angry protests in most parts of Yemen’s southern city of Aden, according to local sources.
The protesters blocked a number of the main roads, suspending traffic in al-Sha’ab area in the city and causing problems for the people.
They also burnt tyres and chanted slogans against the Saudi-backed Hadi government due to the deterioration of essential services.
The participants demanded the local authorities to put an immediate end to the long and unscheduled load-shedding to the power.
The sources pointed out that the citizens were beaten when the Security Belt’s militia of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council dispersed the protests.
