Military commander loyal to coalition killed in Marib

MARIB, March 27 (YPA) – A high-ranking military commander loyal to Saudi-led coalition was killed in confrontations with Yemeni army forces on Friday in Marib province.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on military sources.

Major Genneral  Ameen al-Waeli, commander of the 6th Military Region of killed during battles with the “Houthi forces” in the eastern province of Marib, the sources explained

Military sources said that General Al-Waeli was killed in the Al-Kassara front west of Marib, which has been witnessing fierce fighting for months.

Al-Waeli is one of the most prominent military leaders who have stood by Hadi and fought with him since the beginning of the war in Yemen.
