BAGHDAD, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Secretary-General of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, and Iraqi National Security Advisor, Qasim al-Araji, signed a security memorandum of understanding in Baghdad on Monday.
According to Iran’s “IRNA” news agency, the signing took place during Larijani’s official visit to Iraq, where he met with al-Araji and praised the courage and generosity of the Iraqi people.
Al-Araji emphasized Iraq’s commitment to a firm and principled position rejecting the use of its territory or airspace to undermine regional security or attack any neighboring country.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to implement the security agreement signed between the two countries.
