President Al-Mashat directs messages home, abroad on National Resilience Day

SANAA, March 26 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, affirmed that the steadfastness of the Yemeni people had protected them from suffering that would have been greater and more dangerous.

During his speech on the occasion of the “National Day of Resilience” on Friday evening, President Al-Mashat stated that the steadfastness gave the Yemeni people immunity from being affected by the policies and methods of enemies.

“The steadfastness of our people had a great impact in thwarting all hostile schemes,” he said.

President Al-Mashat explained that one of the most important gains of steadfastness is that it has exposed the level of values decline among all pretenders of urbanization, progress and humanity, and “dropped all masks until we found the international community recognizes false legitimacy.”

He pointed out that the United Nations expresses concern every time the Yemeni people use their legitimate right to defense, and keeps silence about the daily aggression and the ongoing blockade on them.

President Al-Mashat appreciated the high response and the sustainable support to the fronts, and the high honorable turnout on the reserve camps.

He congratulated all the returnees for their return to the homeland camp and welcomed this continuous, good wave, considering it an awakening of conscience and an indicator of awareness.

The President addressed all those remaining in the aggression camp that “they must know that the door to return will not remain open indefinitely.”

In his speech, President Al-Mashat warned about the danger of starting from wrong descriptions in the search for peace, because this will lead to incorrect and unrealistic perceptions of a solution.

He pointed to the danger of linking the humanitarian aspect that concerns the Yemeni people as a whole with files of the military or political dispute.

Concluding his speech, President Al-Mashat thanked all efforts in support of peace, foremost among which was the position of the brotherly Sultanate of Oman.
